 Marty Feldman’s iconic bulging, misaligned eyes were primarily caused by Graves' disease, an immune system disorder that causes hyperthyroidism and makes the eye muscles swell. This condition, combined with subsequent corrective surgeries and injuries—including a youth boxing match and a car crash—resulted in his trademark strabismus.
